COLLECTIONS

The collection of the Mentzendorff House has developed since the museum opened in 1992. It currently holds more than 2,000 items, among them. gs. evidence of Rigans’ 17th–20th cent. household culture (household items, clothing, numismatics, archaeological materials, documents, photographs, etc.), documentary evidence (documents, printed matter, photographs, memorial objects) related to the families of the house owners (Mentzendorff, Lieber, Deringer, etc.), as well as historical evidence associated with a glass workshop, which in the 17th cent. was at the Mentzendorff House. There is a collection of art glass objects obtained as gifts from the authors of exhibitions organized in the museum from various countries of the world and the Glass Art and Study Centre, which operates in the Mentzendorff House.
