“ANNA IN THE FUTURE” – Exhibition of works by students of the Riga Technical House of Creativity “Annas 2”
“ANNA IN THE FUTURE” – the exhibition of works by students of the Riga Technical House of Creativity “Annas 2” is on display at the Exhibition Hall of the Mentzendorff’s House from April 8 to April 29, 2026. The opening of the exhibition was held on Wednesday, April 8, at 4:00 p.m. The opening was complemented by a performance by students of the “Annas 2” Visual Theatre Laboratory.

The exhibition “Anna in the Future” features 22 multimedia and visual art groups, whose students have creatively interpreted the themes of the future – space, galaxy, visions of the future and insight into tomorrow. The exhibition also features proposals for fashionable everyday improvement and cleaning the environment from waste.
The future has always been relevant – yesterday, today and tomorrow, and this is exactly what becomes the leitmotif of this exhibition. Several authors have chosen the direction of astronomy in their works, which is especially relevant this year: astronomers predict that 2026 will be one of the most impressive astronomical events in the last decade. Bright planets, a planetary parade and a meteor shower will be observed in the Latvian sky this year.
The unifying element of the exhibition – materiality and tones, which are revealed through silver paint, aluminum foil, mirrors, shine, shimmer and metal. Each group and each student has understood this material world in their own way, creating a unique, different and yet common artistic message.
