Living room
Living room with Jacob-style furniture made in Riga in the 1800. On the card table is a set of playing cards created around 1820, 60 of which reflect the most important geographical information of Russia at that time.
In the fall of 2018, the Mentzendorff’s House received a luxurious wall mirror made in the 18th century, which once, together with another of the same type, was an important interior item of the Riga White Manor. The mirror was donated to the museum by Aleksandra Belkius. Her family history roots are connected to the family of Bishop Albert, the founder of Riga.
This is the only room in the museum where the original parquet floor (late 19th century) was preserved.
