Exhibition “Skaidrīte Leimane’s Textiles. Years Go by, Works Remain”

The exhibition “Skaidrīte Leimane’s Textiles. Years Go by, Works Remain” is on view at the Exhibition Hall of the “Mentzendorff’s House. Rigans’ 17th–18th cent. House-Museum” from March 3 to 29, 2026.

The filigree-crafted, philosophical, beautiful works of art – textiles of artist Skaidrīte Leimane combine craftsmanship, a sense of nature and an individual perspective on textile art, cultivated over the years.

The exhibition features more than 30 artworks by Skaidrīte Leimane, created over 40 years. Skaidrīte Leimane, the great textile artist has woven poetic and realistic motifs into them, such as: “Black and White”, “Runic Signs”, “Sunrise”, “Full Moon”, “Behind the Window”, “Self-Portrait”, “Money Tree”, “Infinity of Signs”, “Folk Song”, “Boulevard”, “Motif from the 4th Century” and a number of others beutiful art works.
