STAY SAFE DURING YOUR MUSEUM VISIT

The team of the Latvian Museum of Photography asks all visitors to be responsible and to comply with all security measures to reduce the spread of the virus! Help us to ensure everyone has a safe and comfortable experience at the museum!

 

DURING THE VISIT

Masks or face coverings are required

All visitors over the age of 7 and staff are required to wear masks or face coverings. Disposable masks are available on site for purchase in case you have forgotten yours at home.

Visitors are not permitted to be on the museum’s premises without a mask or face cover and will be asked to leave.

Social distancing is mandatory

Please maintain a distance of two meters from all visitors and staff at all times. Families and groups visiting together must maintain a distance of six feet from other visitors. Please be patient.

Please do not enter if you’re feeling ill

Please do not visit the museum if there are symptoms of respiratory infectious disease, self-isolation, house quarantine or you are under a strict isolation. (The museum has the right to prevent persons with signs of respiratory infectious disease from entering the museum and to invite them to leave the museum.)

Individual visitors only

Until 11 January only individual visitors or persons from one household are allowed in the museum.

At this time all public events have been cancelled at the museum: the museum doesn’t offer guided tours, school programs, events, and face-to-face consultations.

Visitors to the collections allowed only with prior notice.

Please use contactless payment methods

We ask all visitors to chose contact free payment methods whenever possible, such as debit or credit cards.

Security measures taken at the museum:

  • The museum premises undergo regular cleaning of rooms and surfaces, including disinfection.
  • The rooms are regularly aired out.
  • The museum has reduced the number of commonly used surfaces and objects.
  • In the museum’s souvenir shop, objects, cards, books, etc. are touched only by museum staff. The inspection of souvenirs shall be provided by a museum employee for all interested parties.
  • Museum staff is equiped with protective equipment (masks or face shields).
  • Hand disinfectants containing ethanol are located at the entrance/exit of the museum. Visitors can wash and disinfected their hands  on the premises of the facility.
  • A flow of visitors is organised in museum rooms to ensure that 2 meters of distance is respected.

When in doubt, please refer to signs posted at the museum or ask the staff.

Monday, Tuesday – Closed

Wednesday  10.00–17.00

Thursday 12.00–19.00

Friday and the weekend – 10.00–17.00
